Now you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this lovely bastide hotel in the Provencal countryside. Situated with a lush vineyard with adjoining spa and top class restaurant.

Situated in a beautiful old Provencal-style farm house, this boutique hotel has a selection of rooms for couples and families that have been created in such a way that you can make the most of your stay.

Bought in 2006 by the Barbero family, the area Clos des Roses has been completely rehabilitated with the intention to install a vineyard and produce a top-quality wine. The hotel, restaurant and spa were all added at a later date to complete this countryside retreat.

For complete relaxation you can spend time relaxing in the stone hammam, which is made available to all hotel guests.

Worth knowing...

You can visit the adjoining vineyard for a guided tour and wine tasting during your stay.

Who should go...

As well as having rooms for single travellers and couples, this hotel also has family rooms which makes it ideal for everyone. From romantic breaks, to a special treat-to-self spa break or a family holiday.

The Restaurant

The restaurant La Bastide du Clos des Roses is situated within this hotel and offers a fine selection of French and Mediterranean cuisine.

Families & Kids

It is possible to get connecting rooms for families. Please enquiry when you make your reservation. You’ll need to book your own childcare when staying here. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.

You’ll need to book your own transfers when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.

Cycle Hire

You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here. Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.

Local Area

Once the most important port in the Mediterranean under Roman Emperor Julius Caesar, the town of Frejus is today a pretty town of pastel coloured buildings and historic monuments, with extensive Roman ruins and a marina. The town's centre, framed around a lovely cathedral square full of cafes, is 2kms from the beach, which runs along into the popular seaside resort of neighbouring Saint Raphael. The main appeal of the town is the ruins of the ancient Roman aqueduct, as well as a 10,000 seat amphitheatre and a theatre which both host atmospheric concerts and theatre performances during the summer months.
