From sea to slopes in 90 minutes

Considering Christmas in the snow this weekend?

featured in News & reviews Author Pam Williamson, Cannes Editor Updated

The 100% Neige bus is now running from Nice up to the ski stations of Isola 2000, Auron, Valberg and La Colmaine, just 90 minutes to the north of the city.

It's time to pack your hats, gloves and scarves and head away from the mild climate of the Mediterranean and into the mountains of the southern Alps where the snow lies thick on the ground. With 50cm of fresh snow in the resorts this is the perfect time to jump onboard the bus and head north for a weekend on the slopes. Day trips are easily possible with the winter bus service which can have you on the slopes of Isola 2000 by 10am, and returning to Nice on the 4.50pm bus, ready for some apres ski in the city.

The buses depart from the main Gare Routiere, the Vauban bus station in Nice. Situated just to the north of the old town on Avenue des Diables Bleus, only a short walk from Nice Riquier train station, the bus station is easy to reach by bus, tram and train from various points in the city and along the Cote d'Azur.
