Their humble home

There is certainly nothing humble about the fictional home of Georgia and her shady billionaire husband. The Italian style Palazzo boasts some three swimming pools. two helipads, an orchard, an olive grove and numerous lavishly decorated rooms. In reality, however, this property, actually known as Chateau Diter, is nestled in the hills below Grasse, to the north of Cannes and has been the subject of much debate in recent years. Built just twelve years ago by property developer Patrick Diter, the magnificent chateau faces demolition due to illegal construction.

This may not be the property that you would want to call home in the French Riviera, but why not check out some others that are currently on the market...

The billionaires party

Where else would you combine your down time with your shady business dealings than on your luxury super yacht? The yacht used in 'Riviera's' opening episode, in fact, belongs to Scottish businessman and investor, Douglas Barrowman. The scene shows hundreds of the Riviera's most sophisticated men and women partying aboard Barrowman's super yacht, before it is blown up by an assassin. Barrowman himself appears in the scenes, playing a Russian oligarch named Rycov.

If you prefer your yacht charter to be a little less 'explosive', then we have plenty of attractive options for you to charter for a day, a week or even longer in Cannes.

Holiday hideaways

The Cote d'Azur's most legendary palace hotel, the Grand Hotel du Cap Ferrat has been an iconic hotel since its opening in 1908. Today it continues to be a home away from home for the rich, the famous and those who just really want to treat themselves. Showing up in several scenes in the TV series 'Riviera' you can be sure that this really is the ultimate in luxury holiday hideaways on the French Riviera.

If this is stretching the budget just that little bit too far then fear not as we have plenty of other luxury and boutique hotels options in and around Cannes for you to choose from.

Fall in love with a Riviera villa

Julia Styles character, Georgia Clios, is an American art dealer who finds herself embroiled in the seedy underworld of the Riviera after she discovers the extent of her husband’s questionable business dealings and navigates a complex web of deceit and depravity to get to the truth of how he died. Pictured here on the balcony of Residence Eiffel, the art dealer in her would no doubt have been very happy to be in the former property of French architect and engineer Gustave Eiffel, and next door to the stunning Greek-style Villa Kerylos.

Liven Up - Activity Company, Monaco

The winding roads of Monte-Carlo

Throughout much of the series, we are treated to stunning views over the principality of Monaco and winding roads of the French Riviera. That iconic image of a Ferrari or a Porsche rounding the narrow bends on the cliffs high above the coastline is like something out of a James Bond film or perhaps the more comical 'Monte-Carlo or Bust'. However you picture yourself exploring this beautiful part of the South of France, we have the right tour for you. Experience the Riviera by bike, by Segway or in that beautiful red Ferrari...the choice is yours.
