Arriving at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival for her very first appearance on the infamous red carpet, the queen of soul, hip-hop, R&B and dance music, Rihanna, looked every bit the celebrity princess on Friday at the premiere of Netflix film 'Okja'.

Wearing an off-white silk taffeta coat and bustier dress from Dior Haute Couture, Rihanna stole the show and flaunted the bride-like dress that was teamed with several jewelled cuff bracelets, emerald rings and emerald stud earrings. Invited to Cannes by official Cannes Festival sponsors, Chopard, the singer has added yet another string to her bow and designed a nine-piece limited edition collection, inspired her native country of Barbados and its famous Carnival festival.

Announcing her intent to travel to Cannes on her facebook page, Rihanna has had fans waiting with baited breath. "I am so happy to announce that I have had the honour of designing my first line of jewellery collection with the legendary Caroline Scheufele of the Chopard family. Chopard.com will be available in stores this summer. The entire collection will be revealed and presented in May in Cannes during the Festival.

Known for her cutting-edge fashion, Rihanna has turned up the glamour this weekend on the French Riviera. We are sure to see more of this star over the coming week as the festival continues with dinners, galas and private parties until the announcement of the Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner on Sunday 28th May 2017.
