A new initiative has been announced by the City of Cannes Council as part of their promotion 'Cannes, the capital of outdoor sport', allowing the infamous Promenade de la Croisette to become more accessible to walkers, cyclists and other sporting enthusiasts.

From the 15th July through until the 27thg August 2017, part of the Croisette will be closed to cars every evening from 20:00 until 01:00. There will be no parking along either side of the road in the designated area of Promenade de la Croisette, between Rue Macé and Rue Latour-Maubourg.

As part of the pedestrianisation, there have also been additional parking spaces created to make public access to the shops of the Croisette much easier.

Boutiques of La Croisette

With plenty of flagship designer stores, boutiques and jewellers the shopping on La Croisette is second to none. It is a must-do experience in Cannes, even if you are just window shopping...

Time for dinner

With the summer pedestrianisation of La Croisette, evening dining just became more appealing. The number of beach clubs, hotels and restaurants with terraces overlooking the Croisette mean that you can enjoy your meal without the traffic, whilst watching the comings and goings of a summer evening in Cannes.
