One of the greatest figures of the swing music generation, Glenn Miller is also known to have raised the morale of the troops in the United Kingdom during the Second World War.
For this concert, saxophonist Jean-Christophe Di Costanzo wrote arrangements for the biggest hits of the American composer for big band and symphony orchestra.
If Glenn Miller sometimes used violins in his pieces, Jean-Christophe Di Costanzo wished to amplify the volume of the jazz band, to change its colours by adding instruments to make his interpretation even more exciting.
With both classical and jazz training, Di Costanzo likes to juggle these two universes and to unite them.
