Djokovic opens tennis academy in Biot

Patrick Mouratoglou unveils his tennis academy near Cannes

French tennis coach, Patrick Mouratoglou has finally realised his dream with the opening of his tennis academy in Biot, only twenty minutes from Nice and its International airport.

Having coached many world class player, including Marcos Baghdatis, Jérémy Chardy, Grigor Dimitrov and currently Serena Williams, Mouratoglou has now opened a state of the art tennis academy on the Cote d'Azur. The academy relocated from Paris where it opened in 1996, and is currently the largest of its kind in Europe. The academy will offer high-quality programs including full boarding tennis and academic program, tournament coaching and more.

The facility was officially opened on Monday 19th September 2016 with special guests Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams in attendance. Other sports stars included double Olympic Judo Champion Teddy Riner and volleyball player Victoria Ravva, with International DJ Bob Sinclar helping out with the musical entertainment. The star-studded event saw Djokovic & Williams in their black-tie finest, with Serena even taking to the clay courts in her floor length gown.
