Festival des Jeux celebrates 30 years of games in Cannes
The largest playful encounter brings together nearly 150,000 visitors
During three days in February the Palais des Festival becomes home to the Festival des Jeux - an event dedicated to the world of play, from traditional games to simulations, creative workshops and video games.
2016 is the 30th anniversary of this event and so enthusiasts and professionals will come together over the next few days to celebrate this 30th birthday together. Cannes has become the key event of the playful calendar for many players, children, families but also for professionals in the world of the game.
From 26 to 28 February the Festival Hall will be transformed into giant games arena, inviting visitors to discover thousands of games and enjoy the diversity of this fun universe. Among the novelties of the year will be two "live room escapes" where players are invited to try to escape from a room by solving puzzles.
To celebrate 30 years, the Festival has worked with Frédéric Henry to adapt his game 'Timeline' to a very special a Cannes & Film version. This limited edition game will be presented exclusively at the festival.
