It's official. Catherine Zeta-Jones has landed in Cannes to present her most recent work where she depicts the infamous druglord Griselda Blanco, also known as the 'La Madrina', 'The Godmother ' and 'The Black Widow.'

Zeta-Jones pasted an Instagram video to announce her arrival in Cannes for the start of MIPCOM 2017, which begins today, Monday 16th October 2017. Undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the world, alongside her husband Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones will certainly be one of the biggest names to appear at the annual event in Cannes.

Presenting the new film, 'Cocaine Godmother', which is based on the life of Blanco, one the original “Cocaine Cowboys” who pioneered the drug trade between Colombia and the United States in the 1970s and ’80s, Zeta-Jones won't be the only druglord connection at the 2017 MIPCOM festival. Juan Pablo, son of Pablo Escobar, will also be in Cannes for a documentary about his father called 'Escobar Uncovered'.

World premiere TV screenings will showcase the new series Britannia with David Morrissey, Counterpart with J.K. Simmons, Trotsky, a series about the father of the October Revolution, and Kurara: The Dazzling Life of Hokusai's Daughter. Other international screening to take place this week will include The Lawyer, The Road to Calvary, Blue Planet II, Pulse, The Plague and Gogol.
