Top celebrities to host amfAR Gala Cannes
Redheads Kidman & Chastain to chair the 2017 event
A star studded line up once more as the list of event chairs and presidents has been announced by the amfAR Gala.
The event which takes place annually during the Cannes Film Festival will be hosted this year on Thursday 25th May 2017. The 24th annual Cinema Against AIDS event will be a spectacular, star-studded gala and is well known as one of the world's most successful benefit events, and is certainly the most coveted ticket in town during the Cannes International Film Festival. In 2017, amfAR returns to the Hôtel du Cap Eden Roc with event chairs Nicole Kidman, Jessica Chastain, Dustin Hoffman, Milla Jovovich, Diane Kruger,m Vanessa Redgrave and the 2017 Cannes jury president Pedro Almodovar.
The 2016 amfAR gala brought together dozens of stars, including Katy Perry, Uma Thurman, Heidi Klum and Lady Gaga and an astonishing €22 million was raised. To date, the event has raised more than $190 million for amfAR's life-saving research programs and helped keep the fight against AIDS in the global media spotlight.
