Football star David Beckham sold himself, or at least a game with himself and his friends, for €350,000, whilst soul diva Diana Ross stole the show with her rendition of 'I will survive'.

The biggest and glitziest of all the Cannes Film Festival parties, the amfAR Gala 2017 did not disappoint. Raising a whopping €17.9 million the star-studded annual event took place at the luxury Hotel du Cap Eden Roc on the exclusive and beautiful peninsula of Cap d'Antibes. Hosted each year during the Cannes Film Festival, the gala raises money for amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research.

With musical performances from Diana Ross, Nicki Minaj, DNCE and Rita Ora and sparkling entertainment from Event Chairs Nicole Kidman, Dustin Hoffman, Jessica Chastain and Eva Longoria, there was also the 'Golden Age of Hollywood' runway show curated by CR Fashion Book's Carine Roitfeld featuring models Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid and Lara Stone to name a few.

The models also claimed the top amount raised for one lot as they auctioned off a collection of 30 glamorous dresses for a fantastic €3 million. American actor and comedian Chris Tucker auctioned off a 1958 Jaguar XK150 signed by every star there for €600,000, whilst Cannes Film Festival jury member Will Smith took over the auction of a group of Golden Age portraits by George Hurrell, upping the total to half a million euros by adding a 'selfie' with as many stars as he could find to join him on stage.

There is no doubt that this is the hottest ticket during the Cannes Film Festival and we are already looking forward to the 2018 edition.
