Day boat parade at Cannes 2017 Yachting Festival

The third edition of Cannes Yachting Festival's Concours d’Elégance, day boat parade, is due to take place this Thursday 14th September at 17:00.

In the wake of the success of previous events, the third edition will take place in the historically rich setting of Cannes' Vieux Port alongside the VIP pontoon and the Festival's beach area. The Concours d’Elégance, is open to exhibitors, owners, and collectors of motorboats and day-boats of 12 metres or less. The competition combines the presentation of your elegant crew of four people maximum with at least one woman, and a boat having an undeniably elegant design.

Boats are judged on the following criteria; the quality of the restoration, design, state of preservation, history, rarity of the model, elegance of the crew and of course the quality of the parade.

This one-of-a-kind display will let visitors and participants alike feast their eyes on a long line of vintage and modern day-boats as well as appreciate the rich history of yachting in the heart of the French Rivera. After the parade, participants, partners, journalists, and VIP guests are invited to attend the award ceremony, which will take place in the Cannes Yachting Festival's VIP Club at 18:30.

If you are a fan of classic design, classic motor boats or just fancy the thrill and luxury of the event then make sure this is one date for your diary this week during the Cannes Yachting Festival 2017 (12th to 17th September 2017).
