Heavy Traffic for Last Weekend in August in Cannes

The end of August & the end of the summer holidays for many people

It comes then as no surprise that the traffic this weekend is expected to be heavy, and in some cases could come to a complete standstill.

As of Friday morning, between Monaco and Nice, in the direction of Aix-en-Provence traffic will begin to build, and by late afternoon traffic is expected to become dense in both directions between Monaco and Mandelieu.

Saturday is naturally going to be busy all day with the worst expected from mid-morning to mid-day between Monaco and Nice, again in the direction of Aix-en-Provence. Sunday is expected to be similar with the possibility of traffic coming to a standstill at points.

Disruptions are also expected between Fréjus and Aubagne on Saturday.

Make sure you take plenty of water, snacks and entertainment for your journey if you are travelling this weekend and avoid the main roads where possible if you are driving locally.
