Ninja Warriors take over Cannes' La Croisette
From cinema to TV entertainment, Cannes has it all
In a town famed for its International film festival, the tables have been turned and La Croisette is about to see the other side of entertainment in the form of sporting challenge TV game show...Ninja Warriors.
After huge success in Japan over the last twenty years and the recent American version, French TV channel TF1 acquired the rights for the show last summer. Filming for the new show has now been confirmed and we will in fact see them in Cannes from Sunday 10th April. You've probably already seen the massive structures being erected at Esplanade Pantiero, and next week we will be able to see the athletes in action.
In Ninja Warrior France the contestants will have to face the most difficult obstacles yet, including a huge yet mysterious structure. They will be requires to cross a suspension bridge and climb a smooth wall of more than four meters...with bare hands. Proven to be one of the most difficult entertainment TV shows to win, in the seven seasons of the show in the United States, there has only ever been a single winner.
Filming is scheduled to take place from Sunday 10th to Friday 15th April 2016.
