No change at the top for Cannes Film Festival
Pierre Lescure re-elected President of Festival de Cannes
As we look forward to the 70th Cannes Film Festival in May 2017, we can rest assured that the very best are at its helm.
The duo of President Pierre Lescure and Delegate-General Thierry Frémaux will remain in charge of the Cote d'Azur's biggest celebrity festival in the coming years. Lescure's new three-year term will cover the period from 2018 to 2020 and ensures continuity in governance of the Festival and its associated projects. He has held the position of President since July 2014.
Frémaux will be overseeing the official selection, which will be unveiled for the 2017 Festival in mid-April. The event itself takes place from 17th to 28th May 2017.
