featured in News & reviews Author Pam Williamson, Cannes Editor Updated

The Festival de Cannes 2017 has released the show times of the films in the Official Selection for the 70th edition so that you can create your own programme.

In just under one week's time, the red carpet will be rolled out for the hundreds of famous faces and stars of the silver screen who come to see, be seen and revel in the glamour of this prestigious awards ceremony. Each day of the two-week long festival will be filled with press conferences, photo calls, gala dinners and film screenings.

If you are coming to Cannes to enjoy the celebrity sparkle that this event brings then you had better be prepared. You will need to know which films you can see for free, which ones the public are allowed to purchase tickets for and which ones you will only see from behind the barriers of the red carpet.

The Festival de Cannes have released their programme of film screenings so that you can plan your time in Cannes and which films you are able to see. The opening film this year will be the French drama Les Fantomes d'Ismael (Ismael's Ghosts) by Arnaud Desplechin and starring Marion Cotillard. The closing ceremony, which takes place on Sunday 28th May will also include the screening of the Palme d'Or winner.
