The international festival of creativity attracts lots of celebrities

Every year, the Cannes Lions - International Festival of Creativity takes place at the Palais des Festivals. This unusual event doesn't only grant awards to creative and marketing communications agencies but also puts on a calendar of talks and workshops hosted by the most creative people on the planet.

This year, famous actors and musicians have descended onto Cannes to speak at the festival. Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, David Oyelowo, Queen Latifah, Thandie Newton, Kevin Costner, Ellen Pompeo, David Schwimmer, St Vincent, Paloma Faith, Jax Jones, Common and Afrojack are only some of them.

But that's not it. Around the festival, there are dozens of smaller events sponsored by international brands attracting celebrities and businessmen from all over the world. The number of stars walking the streets of Cannes and sailing its waters on luxury yachts during the Cannes Lions is only second to the number of A-listers you can see in town when the Film Festival is on.

Kylie Jenner was one of the celebrities visiting the city this week. She boarded a private jet in hometown LA together with 4-month old daughter Stormi and her baby's daddy, Travis Scott, who was performing at the Spotify Party in Cannes. Naomi Campbell, who was among the speakers at the festival, also came to the French city to discuss fashion and its cultural influence with broadcaster Tania Bryer.

US TV presenter Conan O'Brien, a speaker as well, took advantage of his trip to the French Riviera and was seen sunbathing on the beach with his wife. They stayed at the luxury Hotel du Cap Eden Roc in Antibes, a popular haunt for celebrities visiting the Cote d'Azur. Kerry Washington was also in Cannes to speak at the #HereWeAre brunch promoted by Twitter, spreading the message of female empowerment.

The festival ends tomorrow but you can still follow the conferences online. Get a Cannes Lions Digital Pass for €99 which not only gives you access to live content but also features a replay service.
