Circuit de Peygros
A short walk to the forest of Peygros
Hike up to the watch tower at 301m, used for the protection against forest fires in the summer months. The route runs mostly on trails in the Peygros Forest where the abundance of Pine allowed the 18th century villagers to fund the construction of the Parish Church of Auribeau.

Directions
Parking at the Marie go down the large wooden steps to the Calade path. From here, cross the D509 and take the paved path leading north, Chemin des Vayoux that leads on to Chemin de Peygros. This road soon makes a large S bend and should be followed to the left, then the left again to gain a dirt track heading west. This trail is still Chemin de Peygros and should be followed without turning off until it has started to head north. Keeping north until you reach Col de Peygros at 205m, you then take a left turn and head south after the large stone circle.
This trail leads through more forest then comes out onto Chemin de l'Appie that runs alongside the river Siagne. Follow this road south east until you rejoin the path taken from the start. Then return to the Marie.
