Towns nearby

Located just west of the old town of Antibes, Juan Les Pins is a seaside resort with beautiful sandy beaches, quaint shopping boutiques and a whole host of restaurants, bars and hotels. Discovered by the Duke of Albany in 1800 Juan Les Pins was a forest of pine trees with beautiful ocean views and a long sandy beach. Having developed and grown over the years you can now wander around a beautiful port and narrow streets enjoying the Mediterranean ambience. Juan Les pins is now known for its many celebrity visitors and has become a hot spot for high quality boutique hotels and wonderful villas. Fantastic views can be had from the hills and with the bustling town providing excellent nightlife and gastronomic restaurants it has become one of the most popular places in Antibes. In the day the beaches are lined with umbrellas and people dotted around the white sand catching the strong rays of the summer sunshine.  The boardwalk is lined with boutique shops selling jewellery, art and handcrafted goods and in July the town comes alive with the  famous Jazz festival.  When evening rolls in and the sun sets you can often see street performers creating a buzz, restaurants welcoming elegant visitors through their doors and bars filled with chic young fashionistas enjoying luxury cocktails. Its coastline known as Cap d’Antibes is a popular spot for large luxurious villas and estates that can often be seen nestled into the small hills, with fantastic views extending out over the ocean. It is definitely worth exploring these quiet hills and surrounding scenery outside the centre of Juan Les Pins by car, moped or just walking, the private villas and views are worth the adventure.

Sights nearby

Juan les Pins itself does not have many museums or galleries to browse but the neighbouring Antibes old town has plenty of history and culture that you can absorb. The Musee Picasso houses some of Picasso's art work as well as the art of other artists, located in the stunning Chateau Grimaldi. When visiting the old town of Antibes you will also see the walls that were once much higher and protected the city still remain today, and many of the buildings are made from the traditional Antipolis stone. For a musuem slightly closer to Juan les Pins head to the Musee Naval et Napoleonien, where you will see a varied collection of paraphernalia from the Napoleonic period.

Things to Do nearby

Being the busy and bustling town that it is, there is plenty to do and enjoy in Juan les Pins and the surrounding areas. The centre of the town is lined with boutique and souvenir shops, and in true Cote d'Azur style you will find many high end fashion stores and boutiques dotted around.  You can enjoy the Marche des Artisans, on every day in the summer. You can tour this market and find paintings, sculptures, jewellery, souvenirs and lots of little nic nacs and goodies, located in Antibes at the Cours Massena.

The hills located at the Cap d'Antibes are definitely worth exploring, hop on a bike, jump in the car or just take a stroll on foot and soak up the beautiful ocean views over the mediterranean and discover some of the spectacular villas nestled into the hillside. Often with gated entrances these exclusive villas have wonderful views and are often surrounded by lush gardens and the pine trees that Antibes are known for. There are also plenty of walking routes where you can explore the beautiful surroundings of the Cap d'Antibes.

Beaches nearby

Juan-les-Pins' lovely long sandy beaches really are its biggest drawcard. There are plenty of beach clubs where you can grab a deckchair or have lunch- be aware that each beach club has its own personality- some even get a little rowdy in the summer months with dj's and big parties, while others are the perfect place for a sophisticated day of relaxation on the Riviera. For public beaches, try Plage de Pecheurs, Plage de la Gallice, and there are good stretches of sand on wide Grande Plage. At Plage du Pont Dulys you can try your hand at waterskiing, wakeboarding, banana boating and much more.

Golf-clubs nearby

The closest golf club to Antibes is either the 18 hole course at Biot- one of the oldest courses on the Riviera, or the Old Golf Course at Mandelieu-Napoule, just past Cannes in the other direction. Just inland there are also several brilliant courses to choose from at Cannes-Mougins, Opio-Valbonne and Chateauneuf de Grasse.

Nightlife nearby

Juan-les-Pins is a really vibrant nightspot, with lots of bars and restaurants, a casino and several large nightclubs. Le Village is the biggest and most popular with a large dance floor and big name DJs gracing the decks. Minimal Club is smaller and more laid back, catering to a music-loving crowd with deep house beats-although it's said there are topless dancers and waitresses dressed as French maids in one back room lounge, so it's still got a touch of the famous Riviera hedonism! Whisky-a-go-go, meanwhile, has been drawing an elite crowd since the 50's and still delivers a classic club scene in an intimate lounge setting, while Le Milk is the poshest club in town, with wild theme parties, loud music and foam nights.( Yes, foam parties still exist on the Riviera- who knew.) Juan-les-Pins parties all night- even if you don't fancy going into a nightclub, there's some brilliant people watching to be had until the early hours at the famous cocktail bar Pam-Pams, or live music and a chic crowd at Kafe Kanter by the beach. Meanwhile, if you’re in the mood for a flutter there’s Eden Casino, where as well as the gambling you’ll find a pub and a piano bar.
