Families & Kids
You’ll need to book your own childcare when staying here. There is a great choice of childcare options in Cannes from full-time nanny services to the odd night of babysitting. Booking in advance is always recommended and strongly advised for the school holiday periods.
Book My Childcare
You’ll need to book your own transfers, when staying here. Your main options are shared or private transfers, but consider whether you would prefer a door-to-door service or a (generally cheaper) “communal” drop-off point at your destination.
Book My Transfers
You’ll need to organise your own bike hire when staying here. Things to consider are the type of bike you want to rent such as road, mountain, hard trail and/or an electric bike; and whether you’ll need helmets and protective clothing with your rental. You’re best off choosing a shop that is close to your accommodation for ease of access, and making it quicker to return the bike and pay at the end. Some companies may also deliver so it’s worth looking at all the options.

- "We really loved this little place in the heart of Cannes. It has a little pool with seating around it which makes a very relaxing break from the bustle of the town. We had several lunches there which were delicious and the staff were invariably kind and helpful. The rooms are air conditioned and very comfortable. If we were in Cannes again, we would definitely stay here." - Trip Advisor
- "Had a lovely 2 night stay here last week. The hotel is small compared to other properties I have stayed at in Cannes but is very modern looking inside and in the rooms. We had a Junior Suite and for the price we paid it was fantastic value for money. One side of the hotel exits to Rue de Antibes the main shopping street and the front exit is a 2 minute walk to the beach. It is a great location and would recommend this hotel to others. Hotel also has a small pool (this was out of bounds when we visited and available from April onwards) and also a cardio gym." - Trip Advisor
- "Lovely hotel tucked away on Rue d'Antibes, the main shopping street in Cannes. The decor is contemporary but is punctuated by classic elements of 50s chic. Bi-lingual staff are friendly and helpful and the room was fantastic. Well decorated, clean throughout and plenty of floor space. It's a stone throw from the beach and a 7 minute walk to the old town." - Trip Advisor
Children are welcome at the hotel and 1 child under 12 staying in their parents room get to stay for free and have a complimentary breakfast!
Glamorous, glitzy Cannes is famous for its film festival and designer boutiques, grand hotels and palm- lined boulevards. Cannes is very easy to get to as it sits on the major trainline that runs all along the Riviera, linking it with Nice, Monaco, Marseilles and also with the TGV to Paris. (Note that there is no train station at Nice airport so you'll have to either walk or take a bus to the train station at St Laurent du Var.) An express bus (210) runs from Nice airport to Cannes, and there is a good local bus network from smaller towns.

Unsurprisingly given its glitzy reputation, Cannes has some seriously good dining on offer-for all budgets. We've got a detailed restaurant guide for you to check out here, but if you just want to wander until something strikes your fancy, Cannes is the town to do it - the narrow street running up the hill to the old town has some atmospheric restaurants, La Croisette boasts some brilliant terrace restaurants for people-watching, and Quai St. Pierre by the port is the place to head for a selection of seafood restaurants.
Book My Restaurant
When it comes to sights worth seeing, Cannes is probably better known for its belle epoque hotels and festival halls than its historical monuments. Yet if you head away from the red carpet and casinos to the old town of Le Suquet, you'll find a touch of its medieval history in its 12th century church, Notre-Dame-de-l'Espérence and Tour de Mt. Chevalier. There are some nice views to be had over the coast from the ramparts up here too.
Book My Sightseeing
Of all the activities on offer in Cannes, one of the best (and definitely the cheapest) is to spend an hour or two strolling along the famed Croisette boulevard under the palms- past the grand white hotels and Palais de Festival building, past the beautiful sailing yachts clustered in the old port, and around the corner to the beach boardwalk. There are two daily markets to explore and a flea market each Saturday (also Sundays on the first weekend of the month.) For those craving nature and beauty, hop on one of the ferries over to the 'Cannes Islands'- Ille de Saint Honorat and Ille Saint Margherite. You can also catch a ferry to glamorous St Tropez from Cannes.
Book My Things To Do
Cannes has several beaches to choose from, from non-smoking public beaches to glamorous private beach clubs with deckchairs, DJ's and flowing champagne. There are watersports galore, as well as beach volleyball courts that are busy long into the summer evenings. See our beach pages for details.
The closest golf course to Cannes is the Old Course at Mandelieu-la-Napoule, which is the oldest course on the Riviera. If you want to tread the greens with the celebrities, head inland to the world-class Cannes-Mougins Golf Club in the rolling hills (but remember your wallet-green fees will set you back 120-200 euro.) One thing the Riviera certainly isn't short of is golf clubs; see our Golfing Pages for other options.
Book My Round
As you’d expect, there’s no shortage of things to do at night in this town, whether you’re in the mood for a louche piano bar, exclusive nightclub or relaxed Irish pub. Dress up for the occasion at one of the three famous casinos, catch a concert or head to one of the superclubs to dance the night away under the palms. See our nightlife guide for the best of the vibrant Cannes nightlife.
