A quiet beach on the Pointe Croisette
Tucked away on the western side of Pointe Croisette, Palm Beach is a quiet and relaxed public beach with a great view and plenty of watersports activity.
This beach is pretty basic. There are toilets and a kiosk selling sandwiches, hot snacks, drinks and ice creams. This is also a great place for a picnic too, so stock up at the morning market or a local supermarket.

There’s a big car park just behind the beach and a lovely view across to the Cannes Islands. There are a few shady trees to relax under along the back of the beach. Bus no.8 services this beach, get off at the Port Palm stop.
This beach has nice clean sand sloping gently away into shallow waters, making it popular with families with young children. There are a few rocks at the edge of the water though.
And do be aware that this beach does not have a lifeguard.
Jellyfish: Unlike some other Cannes beaches, there aren’t any jellyfish nets in place during the summer at Plage Port Palm. You can, however, check for jellyfish sightings around Cannes on the map at this handy site, and if there are any alerts you can head to nearby Plage Mace, Plage Gazagnaire or Plage du Midi, where there are jellyfish nets between June and September.
Palm Beach is definitely the place to go if you like wind-sports like windsurfing or kiteboarding, in fact it’s one of the few beaches along the Riviera where kiteboarding is allowed in summer.
It’s also a good spot for paddleboarding and kayaking, with the shallow waters make it an ideal swimming spot for kids, although there are no lifeguards so parents must remain vigilant.
